Our client, a 150 bed hospital in beautiful, sunny Northwestern AZ has a need for an ER Director to join their team.

The Emergency Department Director is responsible for the overall operation and direction of patient care in the Emergency Care setting. This position manages staff members in the Emergency Department; Consults with staff, physicians, Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities; assists in formulating budget; responsible for staff education and development.

24 beds, 31 FTEs. They average # of visits is around 28,000.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in ED and at least 1 year in upper management acute care hospital setting. 3 or more years' experience managing an ED in a critical care hospital with 150 beds preferred.

Certifications: ACLS required upon hire

Arizona State Registered RN License
